Not the destination, but the journey

I grew up in Colorado Springs, Colorado. One of my earliest music memories and influences was the songwriting of Elton John and the powerful performances by KISS.

I started learning how to play guitar with a great group of musicians who were listening to Queensryche and Fates Warning. I was like a kid in a candy store who wanted it all and was challenged to be the best player I could be from the start.

My next adventure was Denver, Colorado. New city, new talent, new music…I became part of a group of amazing artists whose influence can be heard in my music to this day. During my short tenure in Denver, I also earned my degree in Audio and Video Production and Business.

This is where I was exposed to the new sounds of Tool, Tori Amos and Rabbit in the Moon. Everything in me was then devoted to the pursuit of music and I knew there was a bigger world out there for me to experience.

My sites were set on Los Angeles and the larger scope of many new opportunities…Web content management and design, large scale recording, film production and of course, my music. This is where it became about business as well as artistry.

I have come back to my hometown of Colorado Springs with my wife and a backpack full of skills. I continue to learn and grow more than I ever expected having amassed a wealth of knowledge and experience…

My next step is to pass it on.
